Bridal Party

 Wow what a wedding day!

As the Bride and her Bridesmaids walked out of the east wing of Abbey Beach Resort in Busselton, the light shower of rain stopped in its tracks as if someone ordered it on cue

They all looked stunning especially the Bride in her stunning gown.

With a flood of wedding photos at my disposal inspiration is high

What wedding isn't filled & inspired by dreams so
commencing with a Cotton Candy Dreams patterned paper
seemed a good starting point.

The Plus Signs Stencil symbolises a joining together and the
gold acrylic paint blended in well with the paper, over this
(as well as in a couple of locations) I gessoed some Hexagons.

A small piece of FabScraps Free Range patterned paper
was used as a contrasting layer over which I matted the photo,
lightly edged it with ink & positioned it atop a
combination of Netting 03 & 04.

Radiating out from this both up & down was a selection of Chains.
An array of meaningful Scrapwords exploding outwards from
the photo complemented the dark and light tones perfectly.
Dressing it up with a collection of embellishments filled in some
of the small spaces and a few flowers delivered a feminine touch.

To finish it up I added an art pebble and some Bubble Chipboard and
utilised the Cotton Candy Dreams die-cuts that came with the paper.

Another Tag Trio & An Angelic Canvas: DT post for Scrapmatts

I told everyone last month to be on the lookout for more
Junk-It Tags and true to form that's what you get this month...

My second project is an Angelic Winged Heart Canvas that I

did for my fabulously wacky friends birthday.

And as an added bonus this month because Scrapmatts have

sponsored CSI Challenge 233 and after assessing all the evidence
my interpretation can be seen at the end of this post...

Cupids & Chevrons Junk-It Tag Trio

The beauty about these tags is that the Scrapmatts 1000 series stencils
seem to be a perfect match in size and with a vast selection
to chose from and no end to the look you can create.
If you are looking for something a bit larger then look no further
because the lovely duo that is Sofie & Andrew have
created A4 - A5 & A6 to cover all our projects.
Otherwise, yet again this "Junk-It" style is as easy as applying
some texture paste over these stencils and
spraying with a colour suitable to whatever you have gathered
up off your desk from past projects...
You know the ones!!! The bits that never quite got put back away...

From here it is as easy as positioning the bits evenly over the tags
and digging through your stash (of carefully organised and categorised container) of Scrapmatts chippies to the pretty it up...

were separated into
3 piles as a kind of chaos inspiration project…

Angelic Winged Heart Canvas

Where does a person start...
OK...In to the repurposing pile I go again for an old frame
and glue in a canvas board.
The dark background is simply some black gesso to help outline
all the wild and wonderful embellishments and
Chippies that were to adorn it.

Before anything else could go down the stencils were laid and coloured.

The task then of centering the heart and attaching the wings
and leaving it to properly dry before continuing

I had to add a Happy Birthday and a flower for the occasion
and it was job done...

With the scene centred around summer relaxing I thought
it appropriate to incorporate the outdoors...
The subtleness of the 5 colours was difficult to confine myself to

but managed to remain true to them and although green is
not normally one of my favourite colours enjoyed its addition to
this case file.

As well as being able to incorporate a few of
Scrapmatts Chipboards and Stenciling I managed to tick off
more than the minimum pieces of evidence.
Layering/stacking started with the use of the A5 Bricks stencil.

No Scrapmatts project would be complete for me if it didnt
have some form of stencil and adding colour on top of them
always makes them shine.
Here I also faded out the carnation pink
whilst letting some other elements spill into it.

Documenting the moment was incorporated as a border

The product list was a variable one set only by the limitations
of the Case File but apart from that we were free to
use our own crafting style

Challenge 29 - Creative Artiste DT post

Hello Crafty Friends and Followers
It is that time again ...

Challenge 29 for

Our Awesome sponsor this month is

Enjoy

Using one of the Maja Design, Vintage Spring papers
as a background I placed a piece of lace across the middle
over which I used the second paper after tearing the corners
and joining them to make a square.

The paper that was cut from the centre of the background
was then utilised as a double layer matt under the large
embossed ornate frame and photo.
Bordering this I used an ornate frame that I also embossed
and cut into two.

In the upper section of the layout I used a couple of
inked leaf sprays dressed with flowers.

Continuing with the embossed look I positioned 3 large feathers
in the lower section over a swirl flourish along with an
arrangement of string and flowers to create a
Centrepiece Bouquet with colours complimenting the flowers and
die-cut butterfly.

The word "Enjoy" sums up completely the moment
and nestled quietly beneath was the finishing touch.

Hello Crafty Friends and Followers
It is that time again ...
Challenge 28 for

Blinged Bottle

Who doesn't like a bit of bling?
I am always looking for things to repurpose so when my son
and his groomsmen emptied some Japanese single malt I couldn't help
but see the potential in the empties.

A little trip to my favourite hardware store it wasnt long before
some metalic gold paint had found its way onto the bottle.
From here it was out with all my lovely embellishments and a
big handful of Scrapmatts chippies and it was time to let the
crafter from within free.

will leave everyone to imagine how it came together.
