Hello Crafty Friends and Followers
It is that time again ...
Challenge 28 for

Thank You to our Awesome sponsor this month is

Blinged Bottle

Who doesn't like a bit of bling?
I am always looking for things to repurpose so when my son
and his groomsmen emptied some Japanese single malt I couldn't help
but see the potential in the empties.

A little trip to my favourite hardware store it wasnt long before
some metalic gold paint had found its way onto the bottle.
From here it was out with all my lovely embellishments and a
big handful of Scrapmatts chippies and it was time to let the
crafter from within free.

Set of 3 Tags and a Altered Bottle for July Scrapmatts DT Post.

What is it about Tags that is attracting me?...
Oh well...Another set of three this month but instead of planning
they are made up of a collection of bits I had scattered
across my craft table and separated into 3 piles...
One set of three tags for each pile so I hope you are all
ready to see some more.
Each will be in a series called "Junk-It"
As well as the Tags some bling attracted me and from its inspiration
an Altered Bottle was born.

Junk-It Fauna Trio

Grabbed me a couple of ready made tags and laid some
semi-dried texture paste over some stencils to
get a thicker than usual effect.

This was then coloured with some LSG sprays and the bases were
then ready to be topped with a variety of bits n bobs
from my Junk-It assortment pile.

Drop a few delicate DragonfliesButterflies & Doves about the place
and I now have some wonderful tags to use on something else
or simply give away as gift tags.

Unforgettable DT post For Scrapmatts

As the cold weather starts to set in, memories of the snow
and my daughter fill my mind and it is with these memories
a layout was born.
Carrying on from thoughts of my daughter my second project
was done thinking of her and the distance between us that is a wall...

UNFORGETTABLE
A PERFECT DAY

Starting with some lovely papers I layered them and after
trimming the top sheet its edges were distressed.
Additionally, I cut a few slots and rolled the edges to create an
opening that I backed with some Retro Squares.

The stars on the paper tied in well with the Snowflakes
that I stencilled with shimmer paste.

From here it was out with another type of Retro Squares to provide
a base for the photo's that were simply matted with cardstock.

After a little journaling it was time to embellish and for this a
single flower was utilised to tie the photo's together and some
little blue & green crystals to add some more sparkle.

Out with the Chippies to finish it off in the way of a sprinkling of
white Stars and embossed Hearts.
Being her first time experiencing snow it was truely an Unforgettable
time and Scrap Words were again able to capture the moment
in the way of a title.

WALL OF LOVE

Starting off I grabbed some modelling paste and set it aside to
dry a little in the sun...Doing this creates a thicker paste with
more body that allows more depth and.

Applying this paste to a canvas board over the lovely
Bricks Stencil with my favourite metal spatula achieved the
heights and texture I wanted.
I love how the Scrapmatts stencils help me take advantage of
this technique and cant wait to apply it on more.

From here I applied a series of stamps about the board and then
over-sprayed with a collection of Spray Mists.

Since many of my pieces have flowers I thought TH could help me
again so out came some die-cuts and I coloured them
to complement the background.

My Scrapmatts stash was then raided to compliment the
flowers with Leaves as well as help create the Ornate Frame
centre piece with an angelic set of Wings and finally with
Vine across the top.

Seaside & Dreams: Dt post for Scrapmatts

Hello my happy crafters and fabulous followers...
This month I bring to you a layout featuring my daughter

and one of her besties and a trio of tags inspired by the
seaside location where I live.

FOLLOW
Your Heart & Dreams

Beginning with a nice floral paper I chose to place the
focal point near to the centre inside an Ornate Frame and decorated
the radiating surrounds with a combination of

The Page Border was dissected and utilised about the layout with
one part being decorated with a pearl as a topper.

The flowers were bunched with a collection of paper straws and skewers
and bound with florist wire and string.

A number of hearts were embossed to match some of the
earthy tones of the flowers as well as a way to introduce texture.

Scrap Words are always a great way to include a title on many types
of projects and although these great friends are now separated
by distance they both know they must Follow their Heart & Dreams.

Seaside Tag Trio

Digging through my stash I found a few jumbo tags and
instantly thought about marrying some of Scrapmatts lovely seaside
chippies with them...The height would fit nicely with lighthouses.

Each of the tags were stenciled with different patterns to tone
down the glossy backgrounds that were already a part of the tags.
On this I used some of the very new Distress Oxides to bring out
some colour and not having used these before I wanted to sample
a fair selection of them and was pleased with the results.

Each tag was dressed with some fishing net and adorned with
Additional to this I used some serviette images to extend the theme.
The final touches were to add the lighthouses, sand and shells.
