Up-cycled Clock Photo Frame

This is a photo frame clock that I have up-cycled, for a very good friends Birthday....

Step 1.

My first step taken was to take photo's as it was originally....

Step 2.

I then took all the screws out and removed the clock and the glass from the photo frame itself, as I didn't want to get gesso or paint on either pieces.... so once it was totally pull apart I then totally covered it with gesso....

Step 3.

Once the gesso was dry, I then covered the whole frame with Patterned paper from my stash...

Step 4.

I chose the template I was going to use, so it would give the impression of an underwater theme of coral, to achieve this result I used a firm texture paste and left it to dry overnight...

Once the texture paste was dry the next day, I used some Tropical Teal and Mint, Heidi Swapp Color Shine...
I also used 2 of Finnabair'sclear stamps, the doily and the netting background stamps I used black Memento Ink with them...

I also sprayed some of Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray Tibetan Poppy Teal and Tiffany's Blue, drying between each colour...

Step 5.

I then chose to then start to peel some of the corners back a little and distressed some of them with some sandpapers to give it more depth...

Step 6
I made sure I was happy with all the textures I had created, like up the sides I gave the impression that there there were bubbles coming from the bottom of the frame....
Step 7.

I then collected some shells, Prima Flowers, charms and glass pebbles, from my stash, and added a heap of WOC flowers from my stash in different sizes and tried tho keep the colours to teal peach and apricot... I started to lay them out, and also the tried to create balance on the clock side and to make it feminine because it was Kerry's Birthday Present, but also wanted the frame to be masculine as it was going to have a photo of their gorgeous Rag-doll Cat Stormie....
