Hello my happy crafters and fabulous followers...
This month I bring to you a layout featuring my daughter

and one of her besties and a trio of tags inspired by the
seaside location where I live.

Your Heart & Dreams

Beginning with a nice floral paper I chose to place the
focal point near to the centre inside an Ornate Frame and decorated
the radiating surrounds with a combination of

The Page Border was dissected and utilised about the layout with
one part being decorated with a pearl as a topper.

The flowers were bunched with a collection of paper straws and skewers
and bound with florist wire and string.

A number of hearts were embossed to match some of the
earthy tones of the flowers as well as a way to introduce texture.

Scrap Words are always a great way to include a title on many types
of projects and although these great friends are now separated
by distance they both know they must Follow their Heart & Dreams.

Seaside Tag Trio

Digging through my stash I found a few jumbo tags and
instantly thought about marrying some of Scrapmatts lovely seaside
chippies with them...The height would fit nicely with lighthouses.

Each of the tags were stenciled with different patterns to tone
down the glossy backgrounds that were already a part of the tags.
On this I used some of the very new Distress Oxides to bring out
some colour and not having used these before I wanted to sample
a fair selection of them and was pleased with the results.

Each tag was dressed with some fishing net and adorned with
Additional to this I used some serviette images to extend the theme.
The final touches were to add the lighthouses, sand and shells.

Challenge 26 - Creative Artiste DT post

Hello Crafty Friends and Followers
It is that time again ...
Challenge 26 for

Our Awesome sponsor this month is

The Girls at Lindy's Gang have kindly donated a
Gift Voucher for this month.

"Set Yourself Free"

This month seeing that Lindy's are our sponsor I thought
I would make a Canvas and pull out my favourite spray mists.

I used a couple of stencils and once they were dry started
to add colour via the LSG mists, then dried them off and they
were too dark for the look I was after so I made a mix of gesso and
water to tone it down, until I was happy with the shades.

I used a couple of background stamps and give it another
layer and smudged the bottom part of the stamp in the the
bottom lefthand corner and added some Champagne Mist to give
smudged shimmer look.

I found some fabric wings and a chipboard mannequin in my stash,
I covered both with thick white gesso and once they finally dried I covered the wings with the Lumiere - Pearlescent Magenta. They needed toning down as they were to vivid so out come the gesso again to tone that quite a bit down.
I added tiny amounts of pink to the mannequin, I also added quite a bit of Champagne mist onto some bubble wrap and dabbed it where I wanted it. I then dried it with the heat gun so it bubbled.

I punched some small Butterflies out of vellum and sprayed some LSG and dried with my heat gun and it made them curled.

Adding flowers in the bottom right corner to finish was all that was required
to achieve balance...
